About this card

Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment's gaming distribution platform — launched in 1996 alongside the original Diablo, it's now the single launcher for the entire Blizzard catalogue: World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, Diablo IV, Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Heroes of the Storm, and the new mobile-PC Warcraft Rumble. A Battle.net gift card lands credit straight into your Battle.net Balance — the in-platform wallet you spend on game purchases, in-game currency, services, and subscriptions.

Following the 2023 Microsoft Gaming acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the Activision catalogue has been migrated onto the Battle.net launcher. That means the same Battle.net Balance now buys Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, the latest Warzone bundles, plus the older Activision back-catalogue (Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Spyro). Battle.net is now the unified PC storefront for both publishers.

Balance covers the full SKU spread: full-price game purchases, DLC and expansions (WoW: The War Within, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred), in-game currency (WoW Trader's Tender, Overwatch 2 Coins, Diablo IV Platinum, Hearthstone packs), Blizzard account services (server transfer, character recustomization, faction / race / name change), WoW monthly subscription, and seasonal battle passes for OW2 and D4. Pick the currency matching your Battle.net account region: USD or BRL for Americas accounts, EUR or GBP for Europe accounts. The wallet is currency-locked once set, so a foreign-currency code will be refused.

We email the 25-character code in about 11 minutes after your crypto transaction confirms — no Blizzard login, no name, no ID required, just an email for delivery. The unredeemed voucher is valid 12 months; once redeemed, the Balance never expires. Crypto-rail savings: 2 % on USD/EUR/GBP, and a chunky 3 % on BRL (Brazil's the best market for our discount thanks to Blizzard's regional pricing structure).

  • Voucher validity: 12 months from issue date. Redeem within that window.
  • Balance: never expires once redeemed onto a Battle.net account.

Asked & answered

Specifics for Battle.net cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Which Battle.net account currency does this card work on?

Battle.net Balance is wallet-currency-locked — a USD card adds USD to a USD-denominated Battle.net wallet, EUR adds EUR, GBP adds GBP, BRL adds BRL. Pick the currency that matches your Battle.net account region: USD/BRL → Americas region, EUR/GBP → Europe region. Once your Battle.net wallet is set to a currency it can't accept a foreign-currency card; Blizzard refuses with a "currency mismatch" error. If unsure, check your account at account.battle.net → Account Details before buying.

How do I redeem the Battle.net gift card code?

Two paths: (1) Web — sign in at battle.net, click your username top-right → Account DetailsGift Card tab → Redeem Gift Card → paste the 25-character code → confirm. (2) Desktop launcher — open the Battle.net app, click the Battle.net logo (top-left) → SettingsGift Card → paste the code. Direct link: battle.net/account/giftcard.

What can I actually buy with Battle.net Balance?

Anything in the Blizzard ecosystem: full game purchases (Diablo IV, Overwatch 2 Bundle, World of Warcraft: The War Within, StarCraft II Campaign Collection), DLC and expansions (D4: Vessel of Hatred, WoW expansion pre-purchases), in-game currency (WoW Trader's Tender, Overwatch 2 Coins, Diablo IV Platinum, Hearthstone packs), Blizzard services (server transfer, character recustomization, faction change, name change, race change), WoW monthly subscription, and battle passes for OW2 and D4.

Does it work for Call of Duty and other Activision titles?

Yes — since the 2023 Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the Activision catalogue has been migrated onto the Battle.net launcher. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, Warzone bundles, Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and Spyro can be bought with Battle.net Balance just like Blizzard's own titles. The unified launcher is now the single PC store for both Blizzard and Activision SKUs.

Can Battle.net Balance be transferred between accounts?

No. Once redeemed, the balance is locked to the Battle.net account that redeemed the code — it cannot be moved to another account, gifted, withdrawn, or refunded back to crypto. Tip: if you're buying a card to gift, do not redeem it yourself — forward the 25-character code to the recipient and let them redeem it on their own account.

Does the card or balance expire?

Two clocks: (1) the unredeemed voucher code is valid 12 months from issue (Blizzard standard policy). (2) Once redeemed, the Battle.net Balance never expires — it sits on your account indefinitely until you spend it. Practically: redeem the code within a few weeks of receiving it; you don't need to spend the balance immediately.

What if my Battle.net code fails to redeem?

Open your order page (link in your delivery email) within 14 days. We re-issue or refund in the original coin. About 0.4% of codes get rejected, usually due to (a) a typo when entering the 25-character code, (b) a wallet currency mismatch (a EUR code on a USD wallet, etc.), or (c) the rare regional restriction. We resolve all three cases. The most common fix: re-check the code letter-by-letter — Blizzard distinguishes between 0 and O in the code.

Why pay Battle.net in crypto?

Three reasons: privacy — no bank-statement entry tying you to specific Blizzard or Activision purchases (useful if you share finances and don't want CoD bundles or WoW subscriptions on the line item). Reach — works without a credit card; many regions have weak or no Blizzard payment options for the local card networks. Discount — we pass crypto-rail savings back as 2-3% off retail (Brazil is the best market thanks to regional Blizzard pricing), and you can stack our discount with the seasonal Battle.net storefront sales.
